Using LoRa (Long Range) radio technology with licence free 868mhz radio we can securely automate business process anywhere, even places that do not have mobile phone signal or a internet/wifi connection.
our initial tests have covered a 127 mile spread from Isle of Man to Glossop without mobile phone connection or using the internet, this can be extended further using MQTT over a internet connection so remote sites can be controlled from the head office thousands of miles away.
This system can also utilise Emergency Communications (at present limited to text and GPS) in case of power outages or wide area outages for internet and mobile phone services.
Using the LoRa system we can control physical process from a mobile phone many many miles away or set timers to automate business process, this can be used for opening water valves on industrial applications or to feed livestock in remote areas, lock/unlock doors for access, turn on/off lights, turn on/off power to remote equipment, give location data for weather/humidity/temperatures etc or a whole rage of sensors including everything from weighing to rail safety equipment, junctions, signage through to soil moisture sensors for industrial agriculture automation.
Our system works as a decentralised system for emergency communications, we can utilise this resilient redundant system to send simple “on” “off” communications through to gauged metered systems to allow fine controlled services that can help you work smarter, not harder.
We are currently working on a sealed Solar/battery powered device that can be installed in remote locations to extend the range and act as a bridge, currently this is limited to 7 hops maximum.
